It stands symbolic for that which fell from the rich man’s table. This being the semen emission and being picked up for “food” by poor “Lazarus”, the symbol identifies with the orgasm taken on the semencovered glans, which is in state of wilt but fondled into the retention of a measure of maintained firmness for the crumborgasmic process. This is described in great detail throughout the poetry and it seems to have been her principal means of finding requitement, compensating requitement, in the heterosexual act. It will be necessary to describe these details in an introductory essay to that part of the vocabulary that assembles all symbols which cover this category.
