delight

Preanalysis assumption: “Delight”, like “bliss”, “rapture”, “ecstasy” etc. is not in itself a symbol, but a term so universally applicable that its alignment in a sexual meaning comes easily. I have however come across instances where it so clearly stands for sexual intercourse per se, that it may be considered a symbol for that phenomenon. It will be observed though, that even then it derives its symbolic quality by an adjective added to the term, such as “adult delight”, “nature’s delight” ,“anonymous delight”. Whatever else may be hidden behind her use of this term, should now be brought out in the analysis.
