play
Synonyms: plays, playthings, playmate, playing, plaieth, played
Preanalysis assumption: “Play” is an obviously suitable symbol for sexual acts, sexual mates and sexual implements. It is an activity that diverts the “time” (penis and penis interest in intercourse). It has no more serious purpose than to entertain pleasantly one’s self-achieved orgasm. It either requires a partner or an object to play with, thus can stand for heterosexual and lesbian intercourse, and for automanipulation as well. In active play with an active playmate it involves either a harmonious synchronization of movements in benevolent interplay, or discords of competition and rivalry. It can therefore be expected to throw light on the accords and discords of intercoursal interplay.
