rose
Synonyms: roses
Preanalysis assumption: “Rose” is chiefly a symbol of erogenous coloration, and thus of erogenous excitation or arousal. (The symbol embraces the noun: rose, the flower; possibly also the spout, or sprinkler of a waterhose, but it does not include the past tense of rise). It symbolizes mainly the purple glans, secondarily the female sexual blush in the labiae, vestibule and clitoris. Sometimes it seems she assumes that the inmost vaginal cup takes on this erogenous coloration also in the state of orgasmic arousal, but possibly just uses it there as synonym for innermost arousal and sensate awareness.
